    Steve and Lynnette;
    I was checking out our memo book here at Roxbury, and I came across a note written to us by Steve.
    I just wanted to drop a quick line to say I am so happy that a really bad situation for your family seems to be turning out well.
    I see a lot of patients in this profession. Some fade with the passing of time, some stick with me forever. Yours is one that I will always remember. To see a family so grounded in love, not only in each other, but in the Lord was oddly inspiring. I say oddly because I am sure you both would have prefered a different way to express that love than to have one of you trapped thousands of miles from home, the other worried sick, feeling alone, helpless and perhaps even hopeless.
    I wish it could have been under different circumstances, but I am glad that you both came into my life, however briefly. In this field I often see abandonment, despair and surrender. To see love, commitment and dedication was warming to my spirit. You have a beautiful family, and I hope that your strange journey strengthens your bonds and gives you a renewed appreciation for the gifts you have been given.
    I also hope you have a wonderful Christmas!
    It’s cold up here…. to be somewhere warm…sigh….
    Take care and God bless

    Ok I know the reasonable response should be that’s horrible and I hope you’re getting better. But man, that is so freakin’ awesome. I can’t believe you were running through bushes and shimmying up bathroom ceilings. I really do hope you are getting help because obviously it’s not normal behavior, but that makes for one heck of a cool experience. hmm maybe I need to lay off fiction and video games too…
